Tonight's menu: Pop culture, served with razor-sharp tools. And probably a Coca-Cola.

PopCast: Octo-Mom, Spring Break, And Cows Get A Reprieve

The Friday Popcast is back, with today's show enhanced by gratuitous percussion. No, seriously. Everything's better with a tiny bit of drums.

Today, we talk about why kids would think of Spring Breaking in Mexico, why everybody hates the octo-mom, and why February is The Month No Cow Would Die for me.

More discussion and sarcasm available on the PopCast, as always.

First of all you did NOT go from the bottle to hamburgers! Believe me I know! As to the "octomom", perhaps because, so far as I know, the multiple births in the past have been to couples--there was a mom and dad with a job in the house, be it ever so humble, and we were allowed to preserve the illusion that these were responsible young people who through Nature or desperation were thrust into this dire situation. So the world was willing to help them out. This young woman seems bound and determined to do her thing and let the rest of us pay for it. Her church is going to help her out? Her minister seemed very surprised to hear this! We as Christians and as Americans like to help the guy who is down. But when that guy jumps off into a chasm and expects us to risk life and limb to rescue him?! Kind of like the people who stay on the islands off the coast when a hurricane is on its way and then expect the Coast Guard or local first responders to risk their lives coming to get them in the middle of the storm. Guess you really pushed my buttons, but obviously I'm not the only one who feels this way.
