Reid: As Seen On TV!
After much thought and deliberation, I'm going back to television.
At the end of the month, I'll be leaving my job at The University of Texas at Tyler and returning to KLTV Channel 7 in Tyler, where I'll be a sportscaster.
I worked there before as a reporter and a sportscaster from 2002-2005. I had some fun, I was on Larry King Live, I won some AP awards, and I did a lot of stories that got a lot of laughs.
"But Reid," some of you are saying, "you didn't like TV. You made fun of the medium, and didn't take it seriously."
Exactly. Should be fun, eh?
I'll be on the air Monday night, for those of you in East Texas. KLTV does stream some of their news and sports online, so I'll let you guys know when you can catch me. Kind words and honest opinions are always appreciated.
I promise you, it won't be anything like you're used to. If you're not a sports fan, I hope to be your favorite sportscaster.
More bulletins as events warrant. No trivia today, I'm way overworked. The Trivial Snippets will return next week, and tomorrow I'll have the answers from the previous trivia snippets.

Hope the TV gig goes well for you. I look forward to catching a bit of it so be sure and post links.
Good luck with the new job.
I stay in Tyler when I take my biannual trip to Mecca (Canton) in December and in May. Perhaps I'll catch you on the news . . .

Hey good luck with the change. When you get famous again, can I ride on your coattails?
Wait, are you secretly the model who they were trying to make into a newscaster in Tyler? I always thought you were secretly a hot blond chick...
Reid,
Lots of luck in the new job. I would love to see an on-line feed.
Terrie
